The dream of El Patio started far back in 1969 when Francisco and Lidia Amador immigrated the United States from Zacatecas, Mexico. Francisco worked in the restaurant industry and Lidia worked in at Saint Jose's Hospital. In 1988, they bought the first location on Township Avenue. Two years later, the second location, on the corner of Los Angeles and Tapo Street, was added to the corporation. The goal is simple: provide quality service and fresh, authentic Mexican good.
